Minnie Dlamini Hits Back At ‘Vile And Toxic’ Trolls

It all started when millions of South Africans decided to bid farewell to veteran new anchor Noxolo Grootboom after 37 years of service. Minnie just like any normal SA citizen also shared her tribute for Noxolo online, but her claims of Noxolo being her role model at a tender age of 4 led many to believe she was lying.

Minnie told TshisaLIVE she was appalled by how “vile and toxic” social media had become.

“It’s honestly ridiculous how vile and toxic people on Twitter have become. Instead of celebrating the legend that is uMam Noxolo Grootboom by sharing fond memories of her incredible career and the impact she’s had on all of us being in our homes every evening for 37 years, I get accused of lying and trend for no reason?”

The star called for an end to social media bullying and said she want to believe that is not the true reflection of the society.

“It’s not right and this mob mentality and bullying has to stop. I refuse to believe this behaviour is a true reflection of our society as a whole,” she added.
